The Law Offices of Hemant R. Habbu is a proprietary firm focusing on Corporate/Business, Immigration and International Transactional matters. Our first priority is commitment to client services and we often develop solutions to our clients' various needs.

Since its foundation in 1993, our law firm has focused practiced primarily on

• Corporate and Business Law including but not limited to Incorporations, Partnerships, Trademarks, Copyright, Stock Option Plans, private placements, some securities matters, mergers, acquisitions, software licensing, and some financing transactions.

• International Transactions including transnational mergers, acquisitions, agreements, arbitration, etc.

• Business Immigration Law was started in another division to satisfy our clients' demands. We provide services in:
  a. Nonimmigrant Visas (A, B-1/B-2, C, E1, E-2, F-1, H-1B, L, O, P, R etc.)
  b. Immigrant Visas (through business, employment, National Interest Waiver, and Employment-Based categories) and otherwise also handle complex immigration cases.

The principals of the firm also deal with tax matters relating to federal, state, international, sales tax, estate-planning issues and general litigation.

Our Law Firm has affiliated offices in Mumbai (Bombay), and New Delhi, India. Due to our strategic location in the heart of Silicon Valley we also do work with attorneys in other parts of the world. The office has a team of dedicated support staff including paralegal expertise, to provide efficient and cost-effective services.

Attorney Profile

Mr. Hemant R. Habbu was born in Mumbai (Bombay), India. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts level degree at Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education, Pondicherry, and then successfully completed his Master of Arts degree course in French from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India. After graduating from Government Law College, Mumbai, he began his professional law career. Mr. Habbu joined in his family's extensive law practice covering such varied areas as customs, excise, labor, corporate, intellectual property, international trade and general litigation. Mr. Habbu then immigrated to the United States and worked for a small boutique law firm in San Jose, specializing in all aspects of tax and business laws. Mr. Habbu obtained his LL.M. degree from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, and in 1993 founded his own law practice.

Mr. Habbu continues to work with numerous corporations (both domestic to the US and international), cultural organizations, non-profit institutions, multinationals, etc. to assist them in meeting their various legal needs.
